View the Future’s (VTF) story teller will provide a foundational perspective on conservation by anchoring the speaker series in local history, Indigenous knowledge, and a deep sense of place. VTF’s presentation, "Looking Back to Lead Forward," will help youth understand how learning from the past—through stories like the Amanda Trail and Indigenous resilience—can guide thoughtful, lasting conservation action today. By emphasizing both preservation and perseverance, the talk invites participants to reflect on their own roles as future leaders and stewards of the land—encouraging kids to engage with their environment with both heart and mind.
